Burger King is playing its part in making sure everyone gets the most out of summer — in and out of its restaurants — by asking customers to use skin protection to avoid looking like a flame-grilled Whopper.
Exalting customers to “Enjoy Summer Like a King”. Don’t mess with your skin,” the fast food brand warns of the risks inherent in prolonged sun exposure of unprotected skin.
Coinciding with the summer school holidays, the campaign warns of the dangers of sunburn in children by including tattoo transfers in all of King Junior’s children’s menus. The stickers read: “It’s even better flame-grilled”.
When exposed to direct sunlight, a hidden message is revealed, warning the wearer to seek protection with the addendum: “But you are not a Whopper. Protect your skin.’
To get this message across, the brand has installed handy sunscreen dispensers in select restaurants in Belgium to ensure customers have no excuse for burnt skin.
Developed by Buzzman, the campaign will be broadcast in Belgian points of sale and Burger King’s social networks.
Burger King is focused on keeping its famous Whopper burgers front and center this summer after trolling outgoing Prime Minister Boris Johnson with his stunt of too many ‘Whoppers’.
